Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1800.7","heading":"Qualifications of applicants - Information concerning","body":"felonies or crimes involving moral turpitude - Photographs -\n\nFingerprints – Definitions.\n\nA. Any person applying for a license to engage in an alarm or\n\nlocksmith industry business pursuant to the Alarm, Locksmith and\n\nFire Sprinkler Industry Act shall provide evidence to the Alarm,\n\nLocksmith and Fire Sprinkler Industry Committee that the individual\n\nwithin this state having direct supervision over the function and\n\nlocal operations of such alarm, locksmith or fire sprinkler industry\n\nbusiness or a branch thereof has the following qualifications:\n\n1. Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n\n2. Has not been declared by any court of competent jurisdiction\n\nincompetent by reason of mental defect or disease, and has not been\n\nrestored to competency;\n\n3. Is not a habitual user of intoxicating liquors or a user of\n\nany illegal or illicit drug or controlled substance, including, but\n\nnot limited to, the non-medical use of any prescription drug or\n\nother intoxicating substance;\n\n4. Has not been discharged from the Armed Services of the\n\nUnited States under dishonorable conditions; and\n\n5. Meets such other standards as may be established by the\n\nCommissioner of Labor relating to experience or knowledge of the\n\nalarm, locksmith or fire sprinkler industry.\n\nB. The applicant shall advise the Committee and furnish full\n\ninformation on each individual described in subsection A of this\n\nsection of any conviction of a felony crime which substantially\n\nrelates to the occupation of an individual in an alarm or locksmith\n\nindustry business and poses a reasonable threat to public safety for\n\nwhich a full pardon has not been granted and furnish a recent\n\nphotograph of a type prescribed by the Commissioner and two\n\nclassifiable sets of fingerprints of such individual.\n\nC. As used in this section:\n\n1. \"Substantially relates\" means the nature of criminal conduct\n\nfor which the person was convicted has a direct bearing on the\n\nfitness or ability to perform one or more of the duties or\n\nresponsibilities necessarily related to the occupation; and\n\n2. \"Poses a reasonable threat\" means the nature of criminal\n\nconduct for which the person was convicted involved an act or threat\n\nof harm against another and has a bearing on the fitness or ability\n\nto serve the public or work with others in the occupation.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3b4bf935ace68468bcd683d38746d405b123967efeb88748d3b9e3a1d9a0820d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1800.6a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1800.8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
