There is hereby created the Fire Extinguisher Industry\n\nCommittee which shall consist of the following seven (7) members:\n\n1. One member shall be the State Fire Marshal, or a designated\n\nrepresentative; and\n\n2. Six members shall be appointed by the State Fire Marshal\n\nCommission. Five of the appointed members shall have at least five\n\n(5) years of experience in the fire extinguisher industry. One of\n\nthe appointed members shall be a fire service representative. No\n\nmember of the Committee shall have any kind of employment\n\nrelationship with any other member.\n\nB. The term of each appointed member shall be four (4) years\n\nstaggered.\n\nEach appointed member shall hold office until his or her\n\nsuccessor is appointed and has qualified under the Fire Extinguisher\n\nLicensing Act.\n\nC. Appointed members may be removed from office by the State\n\nFire Marshal Commission.\n\nD. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment by the State Fire\n\nMarshal Commission for the unexpired term of the vacancy.\n\nE. Members of the Committee shall serve without pay but may be\n\nreimbursed for actual expenses pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nState Travel Reimbursement Act.\n\nF. The Committee shall elect from among its membership a chair,\n\nvice-chair, and secretary to serve terms of not more than two (2)\n\nyears ending on May 31 of the year designated by the Committee. The\n\nchair or vice-chair shall preside at all meetings. If neither the\n\nchair nor vice-chair is present a chair shall be determined, for\n\nthat meeting only, by the members in attendance. The chair, vice-\n\nchair, and secretary shall perform such duties as may be decided by\n\nthe Committee in order to effectively administer the Fire\n\nExtinguisher Licensing Act.\n\nG. A majority of Committee members shall constitute a quorum to\n\ntransact official business.\n\nH. The Committee shall meet within thirty (30) days after the\n\neffective date of this act and shall meet thereafter at such times\n\nas the Committee deems necessary to implement the provisions of the\n\nFire Extinguisher Licensing Act.\n\nI.
