Stat. tit. 59, § 59-1820.7","heading":"Powers and duties of committee","body":"The Fire Extinguisher Industry Committee shall have the\n\nfollowing powers and duties:\n\n1. To assist the State Fire Marshal in licensing and otherwise\n\nregulating persons engaged in a fire extinguisher industry business;\n\n2. To determine qualifications of applicants pursuant to the\n\nFire Extinguisher Licensing Act;\n\n3. To prescribe and adopt forms for license applications and\n\ninitiate the mailing of the application forms to all persons\n\nrequesting the applications;\n\n4. To assist the State Fire Marshal in the denial, suspension\n\nor revocation of licenses as provided by the Fire Extinguisher\n\nLicensing Act;\n\n5. To charge and collect such fees as are prescribed by the\n\nFire Extinguisher Licensing Act;\n\n6. To assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in establishing\n\nand enforcing standards governing the materials, services, and\n\nconduct of the licensees and the employees of licensees in regard to\n\nthe fire extinguisher industry;\n\n7. To assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in promulgating\n\nrules necessary to carry out the administration of the Fire\n\nExtinguisher Licensing Act;\n\n8. To investigate alleged violations of the provisions of the\n\nFire Extinguisher Licensing Act and of any rules promulgated by the\n\nState Fire Marshal Commission;\n\n9. To assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in establishing\n\ncategories of licenses for the Fire Extinguisher Licensing Act and\n\napplication requirements for each category including, but not\n\nlimited to, individual licenses, experience requirements,\n\nfingerprints, photographs, written examinations, and fees;\n\n10. To assist the State Fire Marshal in providing for grievance\n\nand appeal procedures pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act\n\nfor any person whose license is denied, revoked, or suspended; and\n\n11.
