Any person, mechanical contractor, mechanical journeyman,\n\nmechanical apprentice or mechanical firm who violates any of the\n\nprovisions of the Mechanical Licensing Act in addition to suspension\n\nor revocation of a license, upon conviction, shall be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor and punished by a fine of not less than Two Hundred\n\nDollars ($200.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or\n\nboth such fine and imprisonment together with the costs of\n\nprosecution.\n\nB. In addition to other penalties provided by law, if after a\n\nhearing in accordance with the provisions of Section 1850.14 of this\n\ntitle, the Mechanical Hearing Board shall find any mechanical\n\ncontractor, mechanical journeyman, mechanical apprentice or\n\nmechanical firm to be in violation of any of the provisions of this\n\nact, such person or firm may be subject to an administrative fine of\n\nnot more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each violation.\n\nEach day a person or firm is in violation of this act may constitute\n\na separate violation. The maximum fine will not exceed One Thousand\n\nDollars ($1,000.00). All administrative fines collected pursuant to\n\nthe provisions of this subsection shall be deposited in the Oklahoma\n\nMechanical Licensing Revolving Fund. Administrative fines imposed\n\npursuant to this subsection shall be enforceable in the district\n\ncourts of this state.\n\nC. The Mechanical Hearing Board may make application to the\n\nappropriate court for an order enjoining the acts or practices\n\nprohibited by this act, and upon a showing by the Mechanical Hearing\n\nBoard that the person or firm has engaged in any of the prohibited\n\nacts or practices, an injunction, restraining order, or other order\n\nas may be appropriate shall be granted by the court.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0ec8deb9a84608dea8a0413bf08390c0d000c063effaf603ab6792d18d1265c1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1850.10","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-1850.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
