Any person who represents himself or herself by the title\n\n\"licensed marital and family therapist\" or any designation\n\nrepresenting such person to be a licensed marital and family\n\ntherapist without having first complied with the provisions of the\n\nMarital and Family Therapist Licensure Act, upon conviction thereof,\n\nshall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by imposition\n\nof a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more\n\nthan Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense and in addition\n\nmay be imprisoned for a term not to exceed six (6) months in the\n\ncounty jail or by both such fine and imprisonment.\n\nB.
