An applicant who meets the requirements for licensure\n\nrequired by the provisions of the Marital and Family Therapist\n\nLicensure Act, has paid the required license fees and has otherwise\n\ncomplied with the provisions of the Marital and Family Therapist\n\nLicensure Act, shall be licensed by the State Board of Behavioral\n\nHealth Licensure.\n\nB. Each initial license issued pursuant to the Marital and\n\nFamily Therapist Licensure Act shall expire twenty-four (24) months\n\nfrom the date of issuance. A license may be renewed annually upon\n\napplication and payment of fees. Failure to timely renew a license\n\nshall result in expiration of the license and forfeiture of the\n\nrights and privileges granted by the license. A person whose\n\nlicense has expired may within one (1) year following the expiration\n\nrequest reinstatement in a manner prescribed by the Board.
