Stat. tit. 59, § 59-199.18","heading":"Services provided in a private residence","body":"A licensed barber, cosmetologist, hairdresser, manicurist, or\n\ncertified eyelash extension specialist may provide, upon request of\n\na patron or customer, barbering, cosmetology, hairdresser,\n\nmanicurist, or eyelash extension application services to the patron\n\nor customer, according to such license or certificate authority, in\n\nthe patron’s or customer’s private residence. The services\n\nauthorized by this section shall be provided privately and shall not\n\nbe subject to inspection, rules or regulations by the State Board of\n\nCosmetology and Barbering; however, the licensee or certificate\n\nholder is required to provide such services competently and\n\naccording to professional standards and in a manner deemed safe and\n\nsanitary for the patron or customer. The patron or customer, by\n\nrequesting such service to be delivered privately in his or her\n\nresidence, assumes the liability for the services and any home\n\nequipment utilized by the licensee or certificate holder. The\n\npatron or customer shall have the right to review the person’s\n\nlicense or certificate for validity and authority to perform the\n\nservices requested.
