Stat. tit. 59, § 59-2055","heading":"State Board of Examiners of Perfusionists - Powers and","body":"duties.\n\nA. The State Board of Examiners of Perfusionists shall\n\npromulgate rules not inconsistent with the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act as are necessary for the\n\ngoverning of the proceedings of the Board, the performance of the\n\nduties of the Board, the regulation of the practice of perfusion in\n\nthis state, and the enforcement of the Oklahoma Licensed\n\nPerfusionists Act.\n\nB. The Board shall:\n\n1. Adopt and publish standards of professional conduct for\n\nperfusionists and adopt an official seal;\n\n2. Establish the qualifications and fitness of applicants for\n\nlicenses, renewal of licenses, and reciprocal licenses;\n\n3. Examine, certify, and renew the licenses of duly qualified\n\napplicants and establish the requirements and procedures therefor;\n\n4. Maintain an up-to-date list of every person licensed to\n\npractice perfusion pursuant to the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists\n\nAct. The list shall show the license holder's last-known place of\n\nemployment, last-known place of residence and the date and number of\n\nthe license;\n\n5. Cause the prosecution of all persons violating the Oklahoma\n\nLicensed Perfusionists Act and incur necessary expenses therefor;\n\n6. Keep a record of all proceedings of the Board and make the\n\nrecord available to the public for inspection during reasonable\n\nbusiness hours;\n\n7. Conduct hearings and issue subpoenas according to the\n\nAdministrative Procedures Act, the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists\n\nAct, and rules promulgated by the Board.\n\n8. Investigate or cause to be investigated alleged violations\n\nof the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act.\n\n9. Determine and assess administrative penalties, take or\n\nrequest civil action, request criminal prosecution or take other\n\nadministrative or civil action as specifically authorized by the\n\nOklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act or other law against any person\n\nor entity who has violated any of the provisions of the Oklahoma\n\nLicensed Perfusionists Act, rules promulgated thereunder, or any\n\nlicense or order issued pursuant thereto;\n\n10. Enter into interagency agreements or other contracts\n\nnecessary to implement the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act;\n\n11. Share information on a case-by-case basis of any person\n\nwhose license has been suspended, revoked or denied. This\n\ninformation shall include the name, social security number, type and\n\ncause of action, date and penalty incurred, and the length of the\n\npenalty and any other information determined necessary by the Board.\n\nThis information shall be available for public inspection during\n\nreasonable business hours and shall be supplied to similar governing\n\nboards in other states upon request;\n\n12. Establish reasonable and necessary fees for the\n\nadministration and implementation of the Oklahoma Licensed\n\nPerfusionists Act;\n\n13. Provide to its members and employees, as often as\n\nnecessary, information regarding their qualifications for office or\n\nemployment under the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act and their\n\nresponsibilities under applicable laws relating to standards of\n\nconduct for state officers or employees;\n\n14. Establish continuing professional education programs for\n\nlicensed perfusionists and provisional licensed perfusionists\n\npursuant to the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act, the standards\n\nof which shall be at least as stringent as those of the American\n\nBoard of Cardiovascular Perfusion or its successor agency, and\n\nshall:\n\na. establish a minimum number of hours of continuing\n\neducation required to renew a license under the\n\nOklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act,\n\nb. develop a process to evaluate and approve continuing\n\neducation courses,\n\nc. identify the key factors for the competent performance\n\nby a license holder of the license holder's\n\nprofessional duties, and\n\nd. adopt a procedure to assess a license holder's\n\nparticipation in continuing education programs;\ninuing\n\neducation required to renew a license under the\n\nOklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act,\n\nb. develop a process to evaluate and approve continuing\n\neducation courses,\n\nc. identify the key factors for the competent performance\n\nby a license holder of the license holder's\n\nprofessional duties, and\n\nd. adopt a procedure to assess a license holder's\n\nparticipation in continuing education programs;\n\n15. By agreement, secure and provide for compensation for\n\nservices that the Board considers necessary to the administration\n\nand implementation of the Oklahoma Licensed Perfusionists Act and\n\nmay employ and compensate within available funds professional\n\nconsultants, technical assistants, and employees on a full-time or\n\npart-time basis; and\n\n16. Enter into agreements or contracts, consistent with state\n\nlaw, with outside organizations for the purpose of developing,\n\nadministering, grading, or reporting the results of examinations.\n\nSuch organizations must be capable of providing an examination\n\nwhich:\n\na. meets the standards of the American Board of\n\nCardiovascular Perfusion or its successor agency,\n\nb. is able to be validated by an independent testing\n\nprofessional, and\n\nc. is nationally recognized as testing cardiovascular\n\nperfusion competencies.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1baecbd89b6e9c430f42f8e0ee567ccb924d04e9852d6ede2ac49bedbf63d747","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-2054","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-2056"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
