There is hereby established an Advisory Committee on\n\nPedorthics, which shall consist of five (5) voting members to be\n\nappointed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision to\n\nthree-year terms ending December 31; provided, initial appointments\n\nshall be staggered such that two members are appointed for one (1)\n\nyear, two members are appointed for two (2) years, and one member is\n\nappointed for three (3) years.\n\nB. One member shall be a licensed physician who is a member of\n\nthe State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. One member\n\nshall be a physician licensed to practice podiatric medicine by the\n\nBoard of Podiatric Medical Examiners. One member shall be a member\n\nof the public who is a consumer of pedorthic services. Two members\n\nshall be pedorthists certified by the American Board for\n\nCertification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics or\n\npedorthists licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision.\n\nC. Members shall serve until their successors are appointed and\n\nqualified; provided, no member shall serve more than eight (8)\n\nconsecutive years or two full terms, whichever is greater.\n\nD. The Committee shall annually elect a chair and vice chair\n\nfrom among the members. The chair or vice chair and two other\n\nmembers shall constitute a quorum. Members shall be reimbursed from\n\nfunds available to the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision pursuant to the State Travel Reimbursement Act.\n\nE. 1. The Committee shall advise the Board on matters\n\npertaining to pedorthics, including but not limited to:\n\na. scope and standards of practice,\n\nb. licensure and registration requirements, examination\n\nrequirements, exceptions thereto, renewal\n\nrequirements, temporary licensure or registration, and\n\nendorsement or reciprocity requirements,\n\nc. methods and requirements for ensuring the continued\n\ncompetence of licensed and registered persons,\n\nd. grounds for probation, revocation or suspension of\n\nlicense or registration, reinstatement provisions,\n\ne. fees, and\n\nf. all other matters which may pertain to the practice of\n\npedorthics.\n\n2. The Committee shall review and make recommendations to the\n\nBoard on all applications for licensure and registration.\n\n3.
