Stat. tit. 59, § 59-3003","heading":"Persons to whom act does not apply","body":"The Orthotics and Prosthetics Practice Act shall not apply to:\n\n1. Persons licensed by this state as practitioners of the\n\nhealing arts when engaging in the practice or practices for which\n\nlicensed;\n\n2. A person who is employed by the government of the United\n\nStates or any entity thereof while in the discharge of the\n\nemployee’s assigned duties;\n\n3. A student enrolled in a school of orthotics or prosthetics\n\nrecognized by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision\n\nor a resident as defined by Section 3002 of this title who is\n\ncontinuing clinical education;\n\n4. A person licensed by this state as a physical therapist,\n\noccupational therapist, or physician assistant when engaging in the\n\npractice for which licensed;\n\n5. A person certified by the Board for Certification in\n\nPedorthics when practicing pedorthics at the ankle or below; or\n\n6. A person engaged in the practice of orthotics as an employee\n\nor authorized representative of an orthotics manufacturer with\n\nemployment responsibilities that include, but are not limited to,\n\nevaluating, measuring, designing, fabricating, assembling, fitting,\n\nadjusting, servicing, training, repairing, replacing or delivering\n\nan orthotic device under order, direction or prescription of a\n\nphysician or health-care provider operating within the licensed\n\nscope of practice of such physician or health-care provider.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"54e791e481b9ee123d15307db5d26659b40e60d20d22ebe56f7abb6eb31eb2bd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-3002","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-3004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
