A licensed midwife shall advise a client in writing to seek\n\nmedical care through consultation or referral, as specified by rules\n\nof the State Commissioner of Health, if the midwife determines that\n\nthe pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum period or newborn period\n\nof a woman or newborn may not be within the scope of practice of the\n\nmidwife.\n\nB.
