Stat. tit. 59, § 59-3209","heading":"Anesthesiologist Assistants Advisory Committee —","body":"Membership — Powers and duties.\n\nA. There is hereby established the Anesthesiologist Assistants\n\nAdvisory Committee to advise the State Board of Medical Licensure\n\nand Supervision on matters pertaining to the licensure, education,\n\nand continuing education of licensed anesthesiologist assistants and\n\nthe practice of anesthesiologist assistants.\n\nB. The Board shall appoint five (5) members to the\n\nAnesthesiologist Assistants Advisory Committee as follows:\n\n1. Three members shall be qualified physicians who have been\n\nactively practicing anesthesiology in this state for at least five\n\n(5) years; and\n\n2. Two members shall be licensed anesthesiologist assistants\n\nwho have been actively practicing as an anesthesiologist assistant\n\nin this state for at least three (3) years.\n\nC. The physician members of the Committee shall be appointed\n\nfor staggered terms of one (l), two (2), and three (3) years,\n\nrespectively.\n\nD. Terms of office of each appointed member shall expire July 1\n\nof that year in which they expire regardless of the calendar date\n\nwhen such appointments were made. Subsequent appointments shall be\n\nmade for a term of three (3) years or until successors are appointed\n\nand qualified.\n\nE. Vacancies shall be filled by the Board in the same manner as\n\nthe original appointment.\n\nF. Members of the Committee shall serve without compensation,\n\nexcept that members shall be reimbursed for necessary travel\n\nexpenses incurred in the performance of their duties in accordance\n\nwith the State Travel Reimbursement Act.\n\nG. The Committee shall have the power and duty to:\n\n1. Meet at least twice a year or as otherwise called by the\n\nBoard; and\n\n2.
