Stat. tit. 59, § 59-328.43b","heading":"Patient fatalities - Adverse Outcomes Review and","body":"Investigation Panel.\n\nA. In any matter involving a fatality or near fatality of a\n\ndental patient within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving anesthesia\n\nor that is required to be reported to the Board pursuant to Section\n\n328.55 of this title, such matter shall be investigated by the\n\nAdverse Outcomes Review and Investigation Panel.\n\nB. The Adverse Outcomes Review and Investigation Panel shall\n\nstand in the place of the Board's Review and Investigation Panel\n\npursuant to Section 328.43a of this title during the complaint and\n\nreview process.\n\nC. Upon notification of a fatality to the Board, the President\n\nof the Board shall assign four members of the Anesthesia Committee\n\npursuant to Section 328.17 of this title to review and investigate\n\nthe matter.\n\nD. Two of the members shall hold the same license type, whether\n\ngeneral or specialty, as the licensee that is the subject of the\n\ncomplaint and two shall hold different types of licenses.\n\nE. All other procedures as defined in Section 328.43a of this\n\ntitle regarding complaint and Board procedures shall be followed.\n\nF.
