Stat. tit. 59, § 59-328.56","heading":"Unauthorized or forged prescribing of controlled","body":"dangerous substances.\n\nEvery dentist shall have a duty to guard against the illegal\n\ndiversion and unauthorized or forged prescribing of controlled\n\ndangerous substances while practicing dentistry and shall:\n\n1. Notify the Board within twenty-four (24) hours of discovery\n\nthat an employee or other person, known or unknown, has forged or\n\nauthorized without the dentist’s permission, a prescription via a\n\ntelecommunications device, electronic prescribing device, written\n\nprescription, or otherwise communicated or transferred information\n\nwith the intent of allowing a person to obtain a controlled\n\ndangerous substance in the dentist’s name or by any identifiable\n\nlicense number of the dentist;\n\n2. Maintain all written prescription pads in a safe place while\n\npracticing dentistry and shall ensure such prescription pads are not\n\ndirectly accessible to patients;\n\n3. Ensure that all prescriptions issued shall clearly identify\n\nthe name and current address of the issuing dentist; and\n\n4.
