Prescribing authority shall be allowed, under the medical\n\ndirection of a supervising physician, for an advanced practice nurse\n\nrecognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in one of the following\n\ncategories: advanced registered nurse practitioners, clinical nurse\n\nspecialists, or certified nurse-midwives. The advanced practice\n\nnurse may write or sign, or transmit by word of mouth, telephone or\n\nother means of communication an order for drugs or medical supplies\n\nthat is intended to be filled, compounded, or dispensed by a\n\npharmacist. The supervising physician and the advanced practice\n\nnurse shall be identified at the time of origination of the\n\nprescription and the name of the advanced practice nurse shall be\n\nprinted on the prescription label.\n\nB. Pharmacists may dispense prescriptions for non-controlled\n\nprescription drugs authorized by an advanced practice nurse or\n\nphysician assistant, not located in Oklahoma, provided that they are\n\nlicensed in the state in which they are actively prescribing.\n\nC. Pharmacists may only dispense prescriptions for controlled\n\ndangerous substances prescribed by:\n\n1. An advanced practice nurse licensed in the State of Oklahoma\n\nand supervised by an Oklahoma-licensed practitioner; or\n\n2.
