The State Board of Pharmacy shall consist of six (6)\n\npersons, five who shall be licensed as pharmacists by this\n\nstate and one who shall be a public member.\n\n1. The pharmacist members shall be appointed by the Governor by\n\nand with the advice and consent of the Senate and shall:\n\na. be registered and in good standing in the State of\n\nOklahoma, and\n\nb. have been actively engaged in the practice of pharmacy\n\nwithin this state for a period of not less than five\n\n(5) years immediately prior to serving on the Board.\n\n2. The public member shall be appointed by the Governor and\n\nshall:\n\na. be a resident of the State of Oklahoma for not less\n\nthan five (5) years, and\n\nb. not be a pharmacist or be related by blood or marriage\n\nwithin the third degree of consanguinity to a\n\npharmacist.\n\nB. The present members of the Board shall be appointed for a\n\nterm of five (5) years. The public member of the Board shall serve\n\na term coterminous with the Governor and shall serve at the pleasure\n\nof the Governor. The terms of the members of the Board shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June of the year designated for the expiration of\n\nthe term for which appointed but the member shall serve until a\n\nqualified successor has been duly appointed. No person shall be\n\nappointed to serve more than two consecutive terms.
