The Board of Pharmacy shall implement statewide a program\n\nconsistent with public health and safety through which unused\n\nprescription drugs, other than prescription drugs defined as\n\ncontrolled dangerous substances in Section 2-101 of Title 63 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, may be transferred from residential care homes,\n\nnursing facilities, assisted living centers, public intermediate\n\ncare facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities\n\n(ICFs/IID) or pharmaceutical manufacturers to pharmacies operated by\n\na county. If no county pharmacy exists, or if a county pharmacy\n\nchooses not to participate, such unused prescription medications may\n\nbe transferred to a pharmacy operated by a city-county health\n\ndepartment or a pharmacy under contract with a city-county health\n\ndepartment, a pharmacy operated by the Department of Mental Health\n\nand Substance Abuse Services or a charitable clinic for the purpose\n\nof distributing the unused prescription medications to Oklahoma\n\nresidents who are medically indigent.\n\nB. The Board of Pharmacy shall promulgate rules and establish\n\nprocedures necessary to implement the program established by the\n\nUtilization of Unused Prescription Medications Act.\n\nC.
