Except for health care professions, every administrative\n\nbody, state agency director or official with authority over any\n\noccupational or professional license or certification, and each of\n\nthe respective examining and licensing boards, upon presentation of\n\nsatisfactory evidence that an applicant for licensure or\n\ncertification is a low-income individual, shall grant a one-time\n\none-year waiver of any fees associated with such licensure or\n\ncertification. For purposes of the section, \"low-income individual\"\n\nmeans an individual who is enrolled in a state or federal public\n\nassistance program, including, but not limited to, the Temporary\n\nAssistance for Needy Families, Medicaid or the Supplemental\n\nNutrition Assistance Program, or whose household adjusted gross\n\nincome is below one hundred forty percent (140%) of the federal\n\npoverty line or a higher threshold to be set by the executive branch\n\ndepartment that oversees business regulation.\n\nB.
