Every agency, board or commission in this state with\n\nauthority to issue and regulate professional licenses or\n\ncertifications is authorized to provide for the automatic extension\n\nof such professional license or certification for active-duty\n\nmilitary service members and to provide a reasonable period of time\n\nafter military service to activate the license or certification for\n\nemployment purposes.\n\nB. Notwithstanding any other statutes to the contrary, any\n\nmember of the Armed Forces of the United States on active duty who\n\nat the time of activation was:\n\n1. A member in good standing with any administrative body of\n\nthe state; and\n\n2. Duly licensed or certified to engage in his or her\n\nprofession or vocation in this state,\n\nmay be kept in good standing by the administrative body with which\n\nhe or she is licensed or certified.\n\nC. While a licensee or certificate holder is deployed on active\n\nduty as a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, the\n\nlicense or certificate referenced in subsection B of this section\n\nmay be renewed without:\n\n1. The payment of dues or fees; and\n\n2. Obtaining continuing education credits when:\n\na. circumstances associated with military duty prevent\n\nobtaining training and a waiver request has been\n\nsubmitted to the appropriate administrative body,\n\nb. the active-duty military member performs the licensed\n\nor certified occupation as part of his or her military\n\nduties as annotated in Defense Department Form 214 (DD\n\n214), or\n\nc. performing any other act typically required for the\n\nrenewal of the license or certificate.\n\nD.
