Stat. tit. 59, § 59-46.21v1","heading":"Persons, firms, corporations, limited liability","body":"companies or limited liability partnerships excepted from act.\n\nA. The State Architectural and Registered Commercial Interior\n\nDesigners Act shall not apply to any persons, firms, corporations,\n\nlimited liability companies or limited liability partnerships that\n\ndo not hold a license, registration or certification in any\n\njurisdiction for exempted Code Use Groups defined by the State\n\nArchitectural and Registered Commercial Interior Designers Act,\n\nproviding such persons and/or entities shall not represent such\n\nperson or entity to be an architect or other title of profession or\n\nbusiness using a form of the word, \"Architect\". This act shall not\n\nprevent such persons and/or entities from advertising or selling\n\ntheir services.\n\nAny architect, landscape architect or registered commercial\n\ninterior designer from any jurisdiction that contracts, provides or\n\nholds out to the public that they are able to provide professional\n\nservices in Oklahoma is required to hold a license, registration or\n\ncertificate of authority or certificate of title as needed from the\n\nBoard, even on exempt Code Use Groups, and an architect or landscape\n\narchitect is required to sign, seal and date all construction\n\ndocuments and technical submissions.\n\nB. Nothing in this act shall be construed to prevent the\n\npreparation of technical submissions or the administration of\n\nconstruction contracts by employees of a person or entity lawfully\n\nengaged in the practice of architecture when such employees are\n\nacting under the responsible control of a licensed architect.\n\nC. The following shall govern design competitions in the state:\n\n1. Nothing in this act shall prohibit a person or firm from\n\nparticipating in an architectural design competition involving only\n\narchitectural programming, planning, schematic design or design\n\ndevelopment information provided to a sponsor; and\n\n2. The competition winner, prior to seeking the commission for\n\narchitectural services on the proposed project, shall apply for\n\nlicensing in this state within ten (10) days of notification of\n\nwinning the competition and complete the process within thirty (30)\n\ndays.\n\nD.
