Stat. tit. 59, § 59-46.4v1","heading":"Board of Governors of the Licensed Architects,","body":"Landscape Architects and Registered Commercial Interior Designers of\n\nOklahoma.\n\nThere is hereby re-created, to continue until July 1, 2026, in\n\naccordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law, a board\n\nto be known as the \"Board of Governors of the Licensed Architects,\n\nLandscape Architects and Registered Commercial Interior Designers of\n\nOklahoma\", hereinafter referred to as the Board. The Board shall be\n\ncomposed of eleven (11) members including six persons who are duly\n\nlicensed to practice architecture and are in good standing in this\n\nstate, two persons who are duly licensed to practice landscape\n\narchitecture and are in good standing in this state, two persons who\n\nare registered commercial interior designers and who are active and\n\nin good standing and one lay member. Each member of the Board shall\n\nbe a qualified elector of this state, and the architect, landscape\n\narchitect and registered commercial interior designer members shall\n\nhave had five (5) years' licensing or registration experience as the\n\nprofessional position requires in this state. Re-creation of the\n\nBoard shall not alter existing staggered terms. Board members,\n\nother than the lay member, shall be appointed for a period of five\n\n(5) years. A member may be reappointed to succeed themselves. The\n\nlicensed architect, landscape architect or the registered commercial\n\ninterior designer members may be appointed by the Governor from a\n\nlist of nominees submitted by respective professional societies of\n\nthis state. Membership in a professional society shall not be a\n\nprerequisite to appointment to the Board. The lay member of the\n\nBoard shall be appointed by the Governor to a term coterminous with\n\nthat of the Governor. The lay member shall serve at the pleasure of\n\nthe Governor. All board members, including the lay member, may\n\ncontinue to serve after the expiration of their term until such time\n\nas a successor is appointed. Vacancies which may occur in the\n\nmembership of the Board shall be filled by appointment by the\n\nGovernor. Each person who has been appointed to fill a vacancy\n\nshall serve for the remainder of the term for which the member the\n\nperson shall succeed was appointed and until a successor, in turn,\n\nhas been appointed and shall have qualified. Each member of the\n\nBoard, before entering upon the discharge of the duties of the\n\nmember, shall make and file with the Secretary of State a written\n\noath or affirmation for the faithful discharge of official duties.\n\nEach member of the Board shall be reimbursed for travel expenses\n\npursuant to the State Travel Reimbursement Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2f3ef5e2bb9fc06912024e652fff355530648bd7997642db5a2933017052dc4b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-46.47","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-46.4v2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
