Stat. tit. 59, § 59-475.1","heading":"Registration as engineer or land surveyor - Privilege","body":"In order to safeguard life, health and property, and to promote\n\nthe public welfare, the practice of engineering and the practice of\n\nsurveying in this state are hereby declared to be subject to\n\nregulation in the public interest. It shall be unlawful for any\n\nperson or entity to practice or to offer to practice engineering\n\nand/or surveying in this state, as defined in the provisions of this\n\nact, or to use in connection with any name or otherwise assume or\n\nadvertise any title or description tending to convey the impression\n\nthat they are a licensed engineer, professional engineer,\n\nprofessional structural engineer, a licensed surveyor and/or\n\nprofessional surveyor, unless such person has been duly licensed,\n\nauthorized, or is exempt under the provisions of this act.
