Stat. tit. 59, § 59-475.3","heading":"State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and","body":"Surveyors.\n\nA. The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and\n\nSurveyors is hereby re-created, to continue until July 1, 2026, in\n\naccordance with the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law, whose\n\nduty it shall be to administer the provisions of this act. The\n\nBoard shall consist of four professional engineers and two\n\nprofessional surveyors, at least one of whom is not a professional\n\nengineer, all of whom shall be appointed by the Governor, with the\n\nadvice and consent of the Oklahoma State Senate. The Governor shall\n\nalso appoint one lay member. The professional engineers and\n\nprofessional surveyors shall have the qualifications required by\n\nthis act.\n\nB. Each member of the Board shall file with the Secretary of\n\nState a written oath or affirmation for the faithful discharge of\n\nofficial duties.\n\nC. Appointments to the Board shall be in such manner and for\n\nsuch period of time so that no two terms, with the exception of the\n\nlay member, shall expire in the same year. On the expiration of the\n\nterm of any member, except the lay member, the Governor shall in the\n\nmanner herein provided appoint for a term of six (6) years a\n\nprofessional engineer or professional surveyor having the\n\nqualifications required in this act. The lay member of the Board\n\nshall be appointed by the Governor to a term coterminous with that\n\nof the Governor. The lay member shall serve at the pleasure of the\n\nGovernor. Provided, the lay member may continue to serve after the\n\nexpiration of the member's term until such time as a successor is\n\nappointed. Members may be reappointed to succeed themselves. Each\n\nmember may hold office until the expiration of the term for which\n\nappointed or until a successor has been duly appointed and has\n\nqualified.
