Stat. tit. 59, § 59-482","heading":"Tenure - Appointment list - Persons ineligible","body":"Physician members of the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision shall be appointed for terms of seven (7) years. The\n\nlay members of the Board shall serve terms coterminous with that of\n\nthe Governor and until a qualified successor has been duly appointed\n\nand shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor. No member shall be\n\nappointed to serve more than two complete consecutive terms. Each\n\nphysician member shall hold office until the expiration of the term\n\nfor which appointed or until a qualified successor has been duly\n\nappointed. An appointment shall be made by the Governor within\n\nninety (90) days after the expiration of the term of any member or\n\nthe occurrence of a vacancy on the Board due to resignation, death,\n\nor any cause resulting in an unexpired term. The appointment of\n\nallopathic physicians shall be made from a list of three names\n\nsubmitted to the Governor by the Oklahoma State Medical Association.\n\nThe Association may submit names of members or nonmembers of the\n\nAssociation.
