Endorsement of licensed applicants: The State Board of\n\nMedical Licensure and Supervision may issue a license by endorsement\n\nto an applicant who:\n\n1. Has complied with all current medical licensure requirements\n\nexcept those for examination; and\n\n2. Has passed a medical licensure examination given in English\n\nin another state, the District of Columbia, a territory or\n\npossession of the United States, or Canada, or has passed the\n\nNational Boards Examination administered by the National Board of\n\nMedical Examiners, provided the Board determines that such\n\nexamination was equivalent to the Board's examination used at the\n\ntime of application.\n\nB. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Oklahoma\n\nAllopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and Supervision Act, the\n\nBoard may require applicants for full and unrestricted medical\n\nlicensure by endorsement, who have not been formally tested by\n\nanother state or territory of the United States or any Canadian\n\nmedical licensure jurisdiction, a Board-approved medical\n\ncertification agency, or a Board-approved medical specialty board\n\nwithin a specific period of time before application to pass a\n\nwritten and/or oral medical examination approved by the Board.\n\nC. The Board may authorize the secretary to issue a temporary\n\nmedical license for the intervals between Board meetings. A\n\ntemporary license shall be granted only when the secretary is\n\nsatisfied as to the qualifications of the applicant to be licensed\n\nunder the Oklahoma Allopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and\n\nSupervision Act but where such qualifications have not been verified\n\nto the Board. A temporary license shall:\n\n1. Be granted only to an applicant demonstrably qualified for a\n\nfull and unrestricted medical license under the requirements set by\n\nthe Oklahoma Allopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and\n\nSupervision Act and the rules of the Board; and\n\n2. Automatically terminate on the date of the next Board\n\nmeeting at which the applicant may be considered for a full and\n\nunrestricted medical license.\n\nD. The Board authorizes the issuance of conditional,\n\nrestricted, or otherwise circumscribed licenses, or issuance of\n\nlicenses under terms of agreement, for all licenses under its\n\njurisdiction as are necessary for the public health, safety, and\n\nwelfare.\n\nE.
