Stat. tit. 59, § 59-495d","heading":"Suspension in absence of reregistration - Reinstatement","body":"If a licensee fails to apply for reregistration within sixty\n\n(60) days from the end of the previous registration period, as\n\nprovided in this act, his original license to practice medicine and\n\nsurgery in this state shall be suspended and the Board shall report\n\nto the office of the district attorney of the county of practice any\n\nphysician who failed to reregister if the physician's practice is\n\nstill in Oklahoma. Said original license shall, upon due\n\napplication by said person therefor, be reinstated by the Board or\n\nits agent designated for that purpose if and when the applicant\n\nfurnishes satisfactory proof that:\n\n(a) The licensee had not practiced medicine or surgery in any\n\nother state or territory of the United States in violation of the\n\nlaws thereof during said period;\n\n(b) The licensee's license to practice medicine or surgery had\n\nnot been revoked in any other such state or territory during said\n\nperiod;\n\n(c) The licensee has not been convicted of a felony or the\n\nviolation of the narcotic laws of the United States during said\n\nperiod; and\n\n(d) The licensee has met the same standards for licensure as is\n\nrequired at the time for initial licensure and the latest\n\nreregistration period.\n\nA fee set by the Board shall accompany the application for\n\nreinstatement. The Board may in its discretion require the\n\napplicant to take and pass an examination prescribed by it to assess\n\nthe applicant's clinical competency unless the applicant can show\n\nthat fifty percent (50%) of his monthly activities during the time\n\nthe applicant's Oklahoma license has been inactive include the\n\npractice of medicine.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"85a0e474ad6b4049876de7b0954aedfa721587e846543f87abae67d665a02c6d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-495c","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-495e"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
