Stat. tit. 59, § 59-512","heading":"Salary of secretary - Personnel - Investigators - Travel","body":"expenses.\n\nA. The Secretary of the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision shall be paid an annual salary in an amount fixed by the\n\nBoard. The Board shall have the authority to expend such funds as\n\nare necessary in carrying out the duties of the Board and shall have\n\nthe authority to hire all necessary personnel, at salaries to be\n\nfixed by the Board, as the Board shall deem necessary. The Board\n\nshall have the authority to hire attorneys to represent the Board in\n\nall legal matters and to assist authorized state and county officers\n\nin prosecuting or restraining violations of Section 481 et seq. of\n\nthis title, and to fix the salaries or per diem of the attorneys.\n\nB. The Board shall have the authority to hire one or more\n\ninvestigators as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Allopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and Supervision\n\nAct at an annual salary to be fixed by the Board. Such\n\ninvestigators may be commissioned peace officers of this state.\n\nC. 1. For purposes of this section, at least one investigator\n\nshall be a peace officer certified by the Council on Law Enforcement\n\nEducation and Training and shall have statewide jurisdiction to\n\nperform the duties authorized by this section. In addition, the\n\ninvestigators shall have all the powers now or hereafter vested by\n\nlaw in peace officers. In addition, such investigators shall have\n\nthe authority and duty to investigate and inspect the records of all\n\npersons including, but not limited to, personnel records of the\n\nlicensee in order to determine:\n\na. whether or not a disciplinary action for\n\nunprofessional misconduct is warranted, or\n\nb. whether the narcotic laws or the dangerous drug laws\n\nhave been complied with.\n\n2. Investigators for the Oklahoma State Board of Medical\n\nLicensure and Supervision shall perform such services as are\n\nnecessary in the investigation of criminal activity or preparation\n\nof administrative actions.\n\n3. Any licensee or applicant for license subject to the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Allopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure\n\nand Supervision Act shall be deemed to have given consent to any\n\nduly authorized investigator of the Board to access, enter or\n\ninspect the records, either on-site or at the Board office, or\n\nfacilities of such licensee or applicant subject to the Oklahoma\n\nAllopathic Medical and Surgical Licensure and Supervision Act.\n\nRefusal to allow such access, entry or inspection may constitute\n\ngrounds for the denial, nonrenewal, suspension or revocation of a\n\nlicense. Upon refusal of such access, entry or inspection, pursuant\n\nto this section, the Board or a duly authorized representative may\n\nmake application for and obtain a search warrant from the district\n\ncourt where the facility or records are located to allow such\n\naccess, entry or inspection.\n\nD. 1. The Board is specifically authorized to contract with\n\nstate agencies or other bodies to perform investigative services or\n\nother administrative services at a rate set by the Board.\n\n2. The Board is authorized to pay the travel expenses of Board\n\nemployees and members in accordance with the State Travel\n\nReimbursement Act.\n\n3.
