Nothing in the Physician Assistant Act shall be construed to\n\nprevent or restrict the practice, services or activities of any\n\npersons of other licensed professions or personnel supervised by\n\nlicensed professions in this state from performing work incidental\n\nto the practice of their profession or occupation, if that person\n\ndoes not represent himself or herself as a physician assistant.\n\nB. Nothing stated in the Physician Assistant Act shall prevent\n\nany hospital from requiring the physician assistant or the\n\ndelegating physician to meet and maintain certain staff appointment\n\nand credentialing qualifications for the privilege of practicing as,\n\nor utilizing, a physician assistant in the hospital.\n\nC. Nothing herein shall be construed to require licensure under\n\nthe Physician Assistant Act of a physician assistant student\n\nenrolled in a physician assistant educational program accredited by\n\nthe Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician\n\nAssistant.\n\nD. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no one who is\n\nnot a physician licensed to practice medicine in this state may\n\nperform acts restricted to such physicians pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of Section 1-731 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nThis subsection is inseverable.\n\nE. Nothing in the Physician Assistant Act shall limit the\n\nactivities of a physician assistant in the performance of their\n\nduties if the physician assistant is employed by or under contract\n\nwith the United States Department of Veterans Affairs or if the\n\nphysician assistant is employed by, under contract with, or\n\ncommissioned by one of the uniformed services; provided, the\n\nphysician assistant must be currently licensed in this state or any\n\nother state or currently credentialed as a physician assistant by\n\nthe United States Department of Veterans Affairs or the applicable\n\nuniformed service. Any physician assistant who is employed by or\n\nunder contract with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs\n\nor is employed by, under contract with, or commissioned by one of\n\nthe uniformed services and practices outside of such employment,\n\ncontract, or commission shall be subject to the Physician Assistant\n\nAct while practicing outside of such employment, contract, or\n\ncommission.
