Payment for services within the physician assistant's scope\n\nof practice by a health insurance plan shall be made when ordered or\n\nperformed by the physician assistant, if the same service would have\n\nbeen covered if ordered or performed by a physician. An in-network\n\nphysician assistant shall be authorized to bill for and receive\n\ndirect payment for the medically necessary services the physician\n\nassistant delivers.\n\nB. To ensure accountability and transparency for patients,\n\npayers and the health care system, an in-network physician assistant\n\nshall be identified as the rendering professional in the billing and\n\nclaims process when the physician assistant delivers medical or\n\nsurgical services to patients.\n\nC.
