A physician assistant licensed in this state or licensed or\n\nauthorized to practice in any other U.S. jurisdiction or who is\n\ncredentialed as a physician assistant by a federal employer who is\n\nresponding to a need for medical care created by an emergency or a\n\nstate or local disaster may render such care that the physician\n\nassistant is able to provide.\n\nB. A physician assistant so responding who voluntarily and\n\ngratuitously, and other than in the ordinary course of employment or\n\npractice, renders emergency medical assistance shall not be liable\n\nfor civil damages for any personal injuries that result from acts or\n\nomissions which may constitute ordinary negligence.
