An applicant to be eligible for an athletic trainer license\n\nmust meet one of the following qualifications:\n\n1. Has successfully completed the athletic training curriculum\n\nrequirements of an accredited college or university approved by the\n\nBoard and provide proof of graduation;\n\n2. Be licensed or certified in physical therapy and has spent\n\nat least eight hundred (800) hours working under the direct\n\nsupervision of a licensed athletic trainer; or\n\n3. Holds a four-year degree from an accredited college or\n\nuniversity and has completed at least two (2) consecutive years of\n\nsupervision, military duty excepted, as an apprentice athletic\n\ntrainer under the direct supervision of a licensed athletic trainer.\n\nB. An applicant for an athletic trainer license shall submit an\n\napplication to the Board and submit the required examination fee.\n\nThe applicant is entitled to an athletic trainer license if he is\n\nqualified as provided in subsection A of this section,\n\nsatisfactorily completes the examination administered by the Board,\n\npays the applicable license fee, and has not committed an act which\n\nconstitutes grounds for denial of a license under Section 8 of this\n\nact.\n\nC. An applicant for an apprentice athletic trainer license must\n\nsubmit an application to the Board accompanied by a written\n\ncommitment to supervise signed by the licensed athletic trainer who\n\nwill be supervising the applicant. The Board may require the taking\n\nof an apprentice athletic trainer license examination, which would\n\nbe administered without cost to the applicant.
