Stat. tit. 59, § 59-538.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"1. “Health professional” means a physician, physician assistant\n\nas defined in Section 519.2 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes,\n\nAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse as defined in Section 567.3a of\n\nTitle 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes, Registered Nurse as defined in\n\nSection 567.3a of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes, or Licensed\n\nPractical Nurse as defined in Section 567.3a of Title 59 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes;\n\n2. “Laser hair removal” means the use of a class three or class\n\nfour laser light-based device approved by the United States Food and\n\nDrug Administration (FDA) to perform a nonablative hair removal\n\nprocedure that does not remove the epidermis. Laser hair removal\n\ndoes not include electrolysis as defined in Section 536.2 of Title\n\n59 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n3. “Laser hair removal facility” means a business location that\n\nprovides laser hair removal;\n\n4. “Laser practitioner” means a person who practices laser hair\n\nremoval pursuant to this act; and\n\n5. “Physician” means a person licensed to practice medicine\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Allopathic Medical and\n\nSurgical Licensure and Supervision Act or the Oklahoma Osteopathic\n\nMedicine Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ffe9412d242b9fdc045fbeda8aaa2868ceb125d38aaeaed6a1c527f3e70eef26","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-538.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-538.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
