Upon payment to the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision of a fee as provided by the Therapeutic Recreation\n\nPractice Act and submission of a written application on forms\n\nprovided by the Board, the Board may issue a license without\n\nexamination to any person who is licensed or otherwise certified as\n\na therapeutic recreation specialist by another state or national\n\ncertifying body which has substantially the same standards for\n\nlicensure as are required by this state pursuant to the provisions\n\nof the Therapeutic Recreation Practice Act.\n\nB. Upon proper application and payment of fees, the Board may\n\nissue a temporary license to a person who has applied for a license\n\npursuant to the provisions of this act and who is eligible to take\n\nthe examination pursuant to the provisions of this act. The\n\ntemporary license shall be available to an applicant only with\n\nrespect to his or her first application for licensure.
