Stat. tit. 59, § 59-540.5","heading":"State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision -","body":"Powers and duties.\n\nThe State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision shall have\n\nthe power and duty to:\n\n1. Promulgate the rules and regulations necessary for the\n\nperformance of its duties pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nTherapeutic Recreation Practice Act, including the requirements for\n\nlicensure, standards for training, standards for institutions for\n\ntraining and standards of practice after licensure, including power\n\nof revocation of a license;\n\n2. Determine, as recommended by the Therapeutic Recreation\n\nCommittee, the qualifications of applicants for licensure and\n\ndetermine which applicants successfully passed such examinations;\n\n3. Determine necessary fees to carry out the provisions of the\n\nTherapeutic Recreation Practice Act;\n\n4. Make such investigations and inspections as are necessary to\n\nensure compliance with the Therapeutic Recreation Practice Act and\n\nthe rules and regulations of the Board promulgated pursuant to the\n\nact;\n\n5. Conduct hearings as required by the provisions of the\n\nAdministrative Procedures Act;\n\n6. Report to the district attorney having jurisdiction or the\n\nAttorney General any act committed by any person which may\n\nconstitute a misdemeanor pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nTherapeutic Recreation Practice Act;\n\n7. Initiate prosecution and civil proceedings;\n\n8. Suspend, revoke or deny the license of any therapeutic\n\nrecreation specialist for violation of any provisions of the\n\nTherapeutic Recreation Practice Act or rules and regulations\n\npromulgated by the Board pursuant to this act;\n\n9. Maintain a record listing the name of each therapeutic\n\nrecreation specialist licensed in this state;\n\n10. Compile a list of therapeutic recreation specialists\n\nlicensed to practice in this state. The list shall be available to\n\nany person upon application to the Board and the payment of such fee\n\nas determined by the Board for the reasonable expense thereof\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Therapeutic Recreation Practice\n\nAct; and\n\n11.
