A licensed therapeutic recreation specialist may use the\n\nletters TRS/L or CTRS/L in connection with his or her name or place\n\nof business. CTRS/L is contingent upon maintenance of the National\n\nCouncil for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) credential.\n\nB. A person or business entity, its employees, agents, or\n\nrepresentatives shall not use in conjunction with that person's name\n\nor the activity of the business the words therapeutic recreation\n\nspecialist, therapeutic recreation, recreational therapy,\n\nrecreational therapist, recreation therapist, the letters CTRS, TRS,\n\nor TR, or any other words, abbreviations or insignia indicating or\n\nimplying directly or indirectly that therapeutic recreation is\n\nprovided or supplied, including the billing of services labeled as\n\ntherapeutic recreation, unless such services are provided under the\n\ndirection of a therapeutic recreation specialist licensed pursuant\n\nto this act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3d4ad4358cf64def2219a9a73648bc443bdd2aadc9890b65a8cbf35989491cd9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-540.7","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-540.9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
