A radiologist may use the services of a radiologist\n\nassistant, licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision, to practice radiology assistance under the direct\n\nsupervision of a physician licensed by the State Board of Medical\n\nLicensure and Supervision or the State Board of Osteopathic\n\nExaminers and certified by the American Board of Radiology or the\n\nAmerican Osteopathic Board of Radiology.\n\nB. The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision shall\n\npromulgate rules defining the scope of practice of a radiologist\n\nassistant and the educational qualifications necessary to practice\n\nas a radiologist assistant. The Board may use guidelines adopted by\n\nthe American College of Radiology, the American Society of\n\nRadiologic Technologists, and the American Registry of Radiologic\n\nTechnologists in promulgating rules. The Board shall be the final\n\nauthority in all matters pertaining to licensure, continuing\n\neducation requirements and scope of practice of radiologist\n\nassistants and shall not exceed the guidelines in this subsection.\n\nC. A radiologist assistant shall be certified and registered\n\nwith the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and\n\ncredentialed to provide radiology services and have completed a\n\nradiologist assistant program accredited by the American Registry of\n\nRadiologic Technologists and passed the American Registry of\n\nRadiologic Technologists certification examinations.\n\nD.
