There is hereby created a Radiologist Assistant Advisory\n\nCommittee within the State Board of Medical Licensure and\n\nSupervision to assist in administering the provisions of the\n\nRadiologist Assistant Licensure Act. The Committee shall consist of\n\nseven (7) members as follows:\n\n1. One member shall be a physician appointed by the State Board\n\nof Medical Licensure and Supervision from its membership;\n\n2. One member shall be a radiologist appointed by the State\n\nBoard of Medical Licensure and Supervision from a list of qualified\n\nindividuals submitted by the Oklahoma State Medical Association and\n\nwho is not a member of the Board;\n\n3. One member shall be a physician appointed by the State Board\n\nof Osteopathic Examiners from its membership;\n\n4. One member shall be a physician appointed by the State Board\n\nof Osteopathic Examiners from a list of qualified individuals\n\nsubmitted by the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association and who is not a\n\nmember of the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners;\n\n5. One member shall be a radiologist appointed by the State\n\nBoard of Medical Licensure and Supervision from a list of qualified\n\nindividuals submitted by the Oklahoma State Radiological Society and\n\nwho is not a member of the Board; and\n\n6. Two members shall be radiologist assistants appointed by the\n\nState Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision from a list of\n\nradiologist assistants submitted by the Oklahoma State Radiological\n\nSociety.\n\nThe radiologist assistant practitioner members shall have\n\nengaged in rendering radiologist assistant services to the public,\n\nteaching, or research for at least two (2) years immediately\n\npreceding their appointments. These members shall at all times be\n\nholders of valid licenses as radiologist assistants in this state,\n\nexcept for the members first appointed to the Committee.\n\nB. Initial members of the Committee shall be appointed by\n\nSeptember 1, 2008. Members of the Committee shall be appointed for\n\nterms of four (4) years. Provided, the terms of office of the\n\nmembers first appointed shall begin within a reasonable time frame\n\nafter the effective date of this act and shall continue for the\n\nfollowing periods:\n\n1. Two physicians and one radiologist assistant for a period of\n\nthree (3) years; and\n\n2. Three physicians and one radiologist assistant for a period\n\nof four (4) years.\n\nUpon the expiration of a member’s term of office, the appointing\n\nauthority for that member shall appoint a successor. Vacancies on\n\nthe Committee shall be filled in like manner for the balance of an\n\nunexpired term. No member shall serve more than three consecutive\n\nterms. Each member shall serve until a successor is appointed and\n\nqualified.\n\nC. Upon expiration or vacancy of the term of a member, the\n\nrespective nominating authority may, as appropriate, submit to the\n\nappointing Board a list of three persons qualified to serve on the\n\nCommittee to fill the expired term of their respective member.\n\nAppointments may be made from these lists by the appointing Board,\n\nand additionally lists may be provided by the respective\n\norganizations if requested by the State Board of Medical Licensure\n\nand Supervision.\n\nD. The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision may\n\nremove any member from the Committee for neglect of any duty\n\nrequired by law, for incompetency, or for unethical or dishonorable\n\nconduct.\n\nE. The Committee shall meet at least twice each year and shall\n\nelect biennially during odd-numbered years a chair and vice-chair\n\nfrom among its members. The Committee may convene at the request of\n\nthe chair, or as the Committee may determine for such other meetings\n\nas may be deemed necessary.\n\nF. A majority of the members of the Committee, including the\n\nchair and vice-chair, shall constitute a quorum at any meeting, and\n\na majority of the required quorum shall be sufficient for the\n\nCommittee to take action by vote.\nair\n\nfrom among its members. The Committee shall advise the Board in developing policy\n\nand rules pertaining to the Radiologist Assistant Licensure Act.\n\nH.
