Stat. tit. 59, § 59-541.6","heading":"License renewal, reinstatement or replacement – Written","body":"notice of intent not to practice or to resume practice – Continuing\n\neducation.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided in the Radiologist Assistant\n\nLicensure Act, a license shall be renewed biennially. The State\n\nBoard of Medical Licensure and Supervision shall mail notices at\n\nleast thirty (30) days prior to expiration for renewal of licenses\n\nto every person to whom a license was issued or renewed during the\n\npreceding renewal period. The licensee shall complete the notice of\n\nrenewal and return it to the Board with the renewal fee determined\n\nby the Board before the date of expiration.\n\nB. Upon receipt of the notice of renewal and the fee, the Board\n\nshall verify its contents and shall issue the licensee a license for\n\nthe current renewal period, which shall be valid for the period\n\nstated thereon.\n\nC. A licensee who allows the license to lapse by failing to\n\nrenew it may be reinstated by the Board upon payment of the renewal\n\nfee and reinstatement fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00);\n\nprovided, that such request for reinstatement must be received\n\nwithin thirty (30) days of the end of the renewal period.\n\nD. 1. A licensed radiologist assistant who does not intend to\n\nengage in the practice shall send a written notice to that effect to\n\nthe Board and is not required to submit a notice of renewal and pay\n\nthe renewal fee as long as the practitioner remains inactive. Upon\n\ndesiring to resume practicing as a radiologist assistant, the\n\npractitioner shall notify the Board in writing of this intent and\n\nshall satisfy the current requirements of the Board in addition to\n\nsubmitting a notice of renewal and remitting the renewal fee for the\n\ncurrent renewal period and the reinstatement fee.\n\n2. Rules of the Board shall provide for a specific period of\n\ntime of continuous inactivity after which retesting is required.\n\nE. The Board is authorized to establish by rule fees for\n\nreplacement and duplicate licenses not to exceed One Hundred Dollars\n\n($100.00) per license.\n\nF. The Board shall by rule prescribe continuing education\n\nrequirements as a condition for renewal of license.
