Effective January 1, 2016, advanced practice registered\n\nnursing education programs that the applicant has successfully\n\ncompleted must meet the following requirements to be considered for\n\napproval by the Board:\n\n1. The education program must be a graduate-level program\n\noffered by a university accredited by an accrediting body that is\n\nrecognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for\n\nHigher Education Accreditation;\n\n2. The program holds accreditation or holds candidacy, pre-\n\naccreditation, or applicant status for accreditation from the\n\nNational League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, the Commission\n\non Collegiate Nursing Education, the American College of Nurse-\n\nMidwives Division on Accreditation, or the American Association of\n\nNurse Anesthetists’ Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia\n\nEducational Programs; and\n\n3. The curriculum of the program must prepare the graduate to\n\npractice in one of the four identified advanced practice registered\n\nnurse roles and in at least one of the six population foci.\n\nB.
