An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or the employer of\n\nthe Advanced Practice Registered Nurse on his or her behalf, shall\n\ncarry malpractice insurance or demonstrate proof of financial\n\nresponsibility in a minimum amount of One Million Dollars\n\n($1,000,000.00) per occurrence and Three Million Dollars\n\n($3,000,000.00) in the aggregate per year. This requirement shall\n\napply only to the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and shall not\n\nbe construed as to require the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to\n\nprovide malpractice insurance coverage to any supervising physician.\n\nB. An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who is employed by or\n\nunder contract with a federal agency that carries malpractice\n\ninsurance in any amount on behalf of the Advanced Practice\n\nRegistered Nurse shall be deemed in compliance with subsection A of\n\nthis section when practicing under such federal employment or\n\ncontract.
