Stat. tit. 59, § 59-567.7","heading":"Renewal or reinstatement of license or certificate -","body":"Temporary retirement from practice - Fees.\n\nA. Upon expiration of an initial license or certificate issued\n\npursuant to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act, a license or\n\ncertificate shall be renewed every two (2) years according to a\n\nschedule published by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, provided that\n\nthe application is complete and qualifying criteria continues to be\n\nmet.\n\nB. A licensee or certificate holder who applies for\n\nreinstatement of a license or certificate shall submit a criminal\n\nhistory records check that complies with Section 567.18 of this\n\ntitle and meet any other such requirements as the Board may\n\nprescribe in its rules.\n\nC. Contingent upon available resources by the Board, the Board\n\nmay require an applicant for renewal who has not previously\n\nsubmitted a criminal history records check to the Board to submit a\n\ncriminal history records check that complies with Section 567.18 of\n\nthis title and meet any other requirements as the Board may\n\nprescribe in its rules.\n\nD. Any licensee or certificate holder who desires to retire\n\ntemporarily from the practice of nursing in this state shall submit\n\na written request to that effect to the Board. It shall be the duty\n\nof the Board to place the name of such licensee or certificate\n\nholder upon the nonpracticing list in accordance with the rules of\n\nthe Board. During the period of temporary retirement, the licensee\n\nor certificate holder shall not practice nursing, Advanced Practice\n\nRegistered Nursing or practice as an Advanced Unlicensed Assistant\n\nnor be subject to the payment of any renewal fees. When the\n\nlicensee or certificate holder desires to resume practice, such\n\nlicensee or certificate holder shall meet such requirements as the\n\nBoard may prescribe in its rules.\n\nE. The Board is authorized to establish by rule fees to be\n\ncharged for the purpose of implementing and enforcing the provisions\n\nof the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act; provided, however, no single\n\nfee for an initial application for licensure or certification, or\n\nfor renewal, reinstatement or return to active practice shall\n\nexceed One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00). The application\n\nfee for a multistate license issued pursuant to Section 5 of this\n\nact shall be One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00). The biennial\n\nmultistate license renewal fee shall be One Hundred Twenty-five\n\nDollars ($125.00); provided, however, that contingent upon\n\nimplementation of the Nurse Licensure Compact and the Board's\n\nrevolving fund balance being reconciled at less than the average of\n\nthree (3) months of expenditures, the biennial renewal fee set forth\n\nin Oklahoma Administrative Code 485:10-1-3(a)(2) shall increase by\n\nTen Dollars ($10.00) by operation of law. The Board may reduce the\n\nbiennial renewal fees on a pro rata basis for the specific\n\nRegistered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse biennial renewal\n\nperiod.\n\nF. The Executive Director of the Board shall suspend the\n\nlicense or certificate of a person who submits a check, money draft,\n\nor similar instrument for payment of a fee which is not honored by\n\nthe financial institution named. The suspension becomes effective\n\nten (10) days following delivery by certified mail of written notice\n\nof the dishonor and the impending suspension to the person's address\n\non file. Upon notification of suspension, the person may reinstate\n\nthe authorization to practice upon payment of the fees and any and\n\nall costs associated with notice and collection.
