There is established a special volunteer medical license for\n\nphysicians who are retired from active practice and wish to donate\n\ntheir expertise for the medical care and treatment of indigent and\n\nneedy persons of the state. The special volunteer medical license\n\nshall be:\n\n1. Issued by the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners to\n\neligible physicians;\n\n2. Issued without a payment of an application fee, license fee\n\nor renewal fee;\n\n3. Issued for a fiscal year or part thereof; and\n\n4. Renewable annually upon approval of the Board.\n\nB. A physician must meet the following requirements to be\n\neligible for a special volunteer medical license:\n\n1. Completion of a special volunteer medical license\n\napplication, including documentation of the physician’s osteopathic\n\nschool graduation and practice history;\n\n2. Documentation that the physician has been previously issued\n\na full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in this state\n\nor in another state of the United States and that he or she has\n\nnever been the subject of any medical disciplinary action in any\n\njurisdiction;\n\n3. Acknowledgement and documentation that the physician’s\n\npractice under the special volunteer medical license will be\n\nexclusively and totally devoted to providing medical care to needy\n\nand indigent persons in this state or to providing care under the\n\nOklahoma Medical Reserve Corps; and\n\n4.
