Stat. tit. 59, § 59-638","heading":"Acts punishable by fine or imprisonment – Separate","body":"criminal offense - False oath or affirmation as perjury.\n\nA. Each of the following acts shall constitute a Class D1\n\nfelony offense, punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not less\n\nthan One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) nor more than Ten Thousand\n\nDollars ($10,000.00), or by imprisonment as provided for in\n\nsubsections B through F of Section 20N of Title 21 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, or by both such fine and imprisonment:\n\n1. The practice of osteopathic medicine or attempt to practice\n\nosteopathic medicine without a license issued by the State Board of\n\nOsteopathic Examiners;\n\n2. Obtaining, or attempting to obtain, a license under the\n\nOklahoma Osteopathic Medicine Act by fraud or false statements;\n\n3. Obtaining, or attempting to obtain, money or any other thing\n\nof value, by fraudulent representation or false pretense;\n\n4. Advertising as an osteopathic physician and surgeon, or\n\npracticing or attempting to practice osteopathic medicine under a\n\nfalse, assumed, or fictitious name, or a name other than the real\n\nname; or\n\n5. Allowing any person in the licensee’s employment or control\n\nto practice as an osteopathic physician and surgeon when not\n\nactually licensed to do so.\n\nB. Each day a person is in violation of any provision of\n\nsubsection A of this section shall constitute a separate criminal\n\noffense and, in addition, the district attorney may file a separate\n\ncharge of medical battery for each person who is injured as a result\n\nof treatment or surgery performed in violation of subsection A of\n\nthis section.\n\nC. Any person making any willfully false oath or affirmation\n\nwhenever oath or affirmation is required by the Oklahoma Osteopathic\n\nMedicine Act shall be deemed guilty of the felony of perjury, a\n\nClass D1 felony offense, and, upon conviction, shall be punished by\n\nimprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section\n\n20N of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a60b4b8fd7a8e5e22777acd04a8a8ad46542e1a7958435e24baf76a3f6a03b5c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-637.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-638.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
