Stat. tit. 59, § 59-646.7","heading":"Completion of contact lens fitting","body":"A contact lens fitting shall be complete and a contact lens\n\nprescription may be written when:\n\n1. The optometrist has completed all measurements, tests and\n\nexaminations necessary to satisfy his or her professional judgment\n\nthat the patient is a viable candidate to wear contact lenses,\n\nrecognizing that more than one visit between the patient and the\n\noptometrist may be required; and\n\n2. Contact lenses suitable for the patient's eyes have been\n\nevaluated and fitted by the optometrist to the patient's eyes and\n\nthe optometrist is satisfied with the fitting based on ocular health\n\nand the visual needs of the patient.\n\nThe patient shall be entitled to receive a copy of the contact\n\nlens prescription with the appropriate number of lenses to fulfill\n\nthe prescription until its expiration date.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b29b83b8af1f20eaadd1eeec12f8fc3162210590648ae7e5408b06d6ed85e125","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-646.6","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-650"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
