Every licensed veterinarian who is the holder of a license\n\nor certificate authorizing the practice of veterinary medicine in\n\nany manner whatsoever shall on or before the first day of July of\n\neach and every year apply to the State Board of Veterinary Medical\n\nExaminers on forms furnished by the Board, for a renewal certificate\n\nof registration entitling such veterinarian to practice veterinary\n\nmedicine in this state during the next fiscal year. Each such\n\napplication shall be accompanied by a renewal fee in an amount fixed\n\nby the Board.\n\nB. The Board may modify the terms and dates of renewal\n\nrequirements in order to expedite the efficiency of the procedure\n\nand to prevent inequitable financial burden on its applicants and\n\nlicensees.\n\nC. 1. Failure to renew a license or certificate properly shall\n\nbe evidence of noncompliance with the laws of this state and rules\n\nof the Board.\n\n2. The license or certificate shall automatically be placed in\n\nan inactive status for failure to renew and shall be considered\n\ninactive and not in good standing for purposes of practice of\n\nveterinary medicine.\n\nD. 1. If, within sixty (60) calendar days after July 1 the\n\nlicensee or certificate holder pays the renewal fee plus any\n\nreactivation fee set by rule by the Board, the president or\n\nsecretary-treasurer of the Board may reactivate the license or\n\ncertificate.\n\n2. If sixty (60) calendar days elapses and the license or\n\ncertificate is not reactivated, the license or certificate shall be\n\nautomatically suspended for failure to renew.\n\n3. A license or certificate suspended for failure to renew may\n\nbe reinstated pursuant to the provisions of Section 698.9a of this\n\ntitle.\n\nE.
