Stat. tit. 59, § 59-698.30b","heading":"Animal Technology Advisory Committee - Oversight -","body":"Members.\n\nA. The Animal Technology Advisory Committee shall be overseen\n\nby the Board and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and\n\nForestry and shall investigate, examine, discuss and determine\n\nwhether any new or evolving technology, procedure, method or\n\npractice should be considered or designated an act of animal\n\nhusbandry, the practice of veterinary medicine, or added to the list\n\nof acts not prohibited in paragraph 1 of Section 698.12 of the\n\nOklahoma Veterinary Practice Act.\n\nB. The Animal Technology Advisory Committee shall be chaired by\n\nthe State Veterinarian employed by the Department who shall have the\n\nfollowing duties:\n\n1. Call and give notice of all meetings of the committee;\n\n2. Establish the agenda for the meetings of the committee;\n\n3. Keep and maintain minutes of all meetings of the committee;\n\nand\n\n4. Publish and distribute all determinations of the committee\n\nto the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.\n\nC. In addition to the chairperson, who shall be a nonvoting\n\nmember, the Animal Technology Advisory Committee shall be comprised\n\nof the following voting members:\n\n1. Two veterinarians appointed by the Board;\n\n2. One veterinarian appointed by the head of the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity Center of Veterinary Health Sciences;\n\n3. Two individuals actively involved in the livestock industry\n\nappointed by the Secretary of Agriculture; and\n\n4. One faculty member of the Oklahoma State University\n\nDepartment of Animal Science appointed by the head of the\n\nDepartment.\n\nD. Recommendations of the Advisory Committee shall be made by a\n\nmajority vote of the voting members of the committee and shall be\n\npresented to the Board, in writing, for consideration and review at\n\nleast thirty (30) days before a regularly scheduled meeting of the\n\nBoard.
