Each member of the State Board of Veterinary Medical\n\nExaminers shall take the constitutional oath of office.\n\n2. The Board shall organize annually, at the last meeting of\n\nthe Board before the beginning of the next fiscal year, by electing\n\nfrom the Board membership a president, vice-president and secretary-\n\ntreasurer. Officers of the Board shall serve for terms of one (1)\n\nyear or until their successors are elected. Officers shall not\n\nsucceed themselves for more than one term. The lay member appointed\n\nto the Board shall not hold elective office.\n\nB. 1. The president shall:\n\na. preside at Board meetings,\n\nb. arrange the Board agenda,\n\nc. sign Board orders and other required documents,\n\nd. appoint Board committees and their chairpersons,\n\ne. coordinate Board activities,\n\nf. represent the Board before legislative committees, and\n\ng. perform those other duties assigned by the Board and\n\nthis section.\n\n2. The vice-president shall perform the duties of president\n\nduring the president’s absence or disability and shall assist the\n\npresident in duties as requested.\n\n3. The secretary-treasurer shall be responsible for the\n\nadministrative functions of the Board.\n\n4. The employment of administrative, investigative, legal and\n\nclerical personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board.\n\n5. At the end of each fiscal year the president and secretary-\n\ntreasurer shall prepare or cause to be prepared and submit to the\n\nGovernor a report on the transactions of the Board.\n\nC. To facilitate its work effectively, fulfill its duties and\n\nexercise its powers, the Board may establish standing or ad hoc\n\ncommittees. The president shall appoint members and chairpersons of\n\nthe committees and determine the length of terms of service.
