Stat. tit. 59, § 59-858-208","heading":"Powers and duties of Commission","body":"The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission shall have the following\n\npowers and duties:\n\n1. To promulgate rules, prescribe administrative fees by rule,\n\nand make orders as it may deem necessary or expedient in the\n\nperformance of its duties;\n\n2. To administer or cause to be administered examinations to\n\npersons who apply for the issuance of licenses;\n\n3. To sell to other entities or governmental bodies, not\n\nlimited to the State of Oklahoma, computer testing and license\n\napplications to recover expended research and development costs;\n\n4. To issue licenses in the form the Commission may prescribe\n\nto persons who have passed examinations or who otherwise are\n\nentitled to such licenses;\n\n5. To issue licenses to and regulate the activities of real\n\nestate brokers, provisional sales associates, sales associates,\n\nbranch offices, nonresidents, associations, corporations, and\n\npartnerships;\n\n6. Upon showing good cause as provided for in The Oklahoma Real\n\nEstate License Code, to discipline licensees, instructors and real\n\nestate school entities by:\n\na. reprimand,\n\nb. probation for a specified period of time,\n\nc. requiring education in addition to the educational\n\nrequirements provided by Section 858-307.2 of this\n\ntitle,\n\nd. suspending real estate licenses and approvals for\n\nspecified periods of time,\n\ne. revoking real estate licenses and approvals,\n\nf. imposing administrative fines pursuant to Section 858-\n\n402 of this title, or\n\ng. any combination of discipline as provided by\n\nsubparagraphs a through f of this paragraph;\n\n7. Upon showing good cause, to modify any sanction imposed\n\npursuant to the provisions of this section and to reinstate\n\nlicenses;\n\n8. To conduct, for cause, disciplinary proceedings;\n\n9. To prescribe penalties as it may deem proper to be assessed\n\nagainst licensees for the failure to pay the license renewal fees as\n\nprovided for in this Code;\n\n10. To initiate the prosecution of any person who violates any\n\nof the provisions of this Code;\n\n11. To approve instructors and organizations offering courses\n\nof study in real estate and to further require them to meet\n\nstandards to remain qualified as is necessary for the administration\n\nof this Code;\n\n12. To contract with attorneys and other professionals to carry\n\nout the functions and purposes of this Code;\n\n13. To apply for injunctions and restraining orders to enforce\n\nthe provisions of applicable laws, rules, and regulations for\n\nviolations of the Code or the rules of the Commission;\n\n14. To create an Oklahoma Real Estate Contract Form Committee\n\nby rule that will be required to draft and revise real estate\n\npurchase and/or lease contracts and any related addenda for\n\nvoluntary use by real estate licensees;\n\n15. To enter into contracts and agreements for the payment of\n\nfood and other reasonable expenses as authorized in the State Travel\n\nReimbursement Act necessary to host, conduct, or participate in\n\nmeetings or training sessions as is reasonable for the\n\nadministration of this Code;\n\n16. To conduct an annual performance review of the Executive\n\nDirector and submit the report to the Legislature;\n\n17. To enter into reciprocal agreements with other real estate\n\nlicensing regulatory jurisdictions with equivalent licensing,\n\neducation and examination requirements;\n\n18. To issue cease and desist orders to any person or business\n\nentity that is in violation of any provision of the Oklahoma Real\n\nEstate License Code or administrative rule; and\n\n19.
