Stat. tit. 59, § 59-858-307.2","heading":"Renewal of license - Continuing education","body":"requirement.\n\nA. Beginning November 1, 2004, as a condition of renewal or\n\nreactivation of a real estate license, each licensee with the\n\nexception of those exempt as set out in this section shall submit to\n\nthe Oklahoma Real Estate Commission evidence of completion of a\n\nspecified number of hours of continuing education courses approved\n\nby the Commission, within the thirty-six (36) months immediately\n\npreceding the term for which the license is to be issued. The\n\nnumber of hours, or its equivalent, required for each licensed term\n\nshall be determined by the Commission and promulgated by rule. Each\n\nlicensee shall be required to complete and include as part of such\n\ncontinuing education a certain number of required subjects as\n\nprescribed by rule.\n\nB. The continuing education courses required by this section\n\nshall be satisfied by courses approved by the Commission and offered\n\nby:\n\n1. The Commission;\n\n2. A technology center school;\n\n3. A college or university;\n\n4. A private school;\n\n5. The Oklahoma Association of Realtors, the National\n\nAssociation of Realtors, or any affiliate thereof;\n\n6. The Oklahoma Bar Association, American Bar Association, or\n\nany affiliate thereof; or\n\n7. An education provider.\n\nC. The Commission shall maintain a list of courses which are\n\napproved by the Commission.\n\nD. The Commission shall not issue an active renewal license or\n\nreactivate a license unless the continuing education requirement set\n\nforth in this section is satisfied within the prescribed time\n\nperiod.\n\nE. The provisions of this section do not apply:\n\n1. During the period a license is on inactive status;\n\n2. To a licensee who holds a provisional sales associate\n\nlicense;\n\n3. To a nonresident licensee licensed in this state if the\n\nlicensee maintains a current license in another state or states and\n\nhas satisfied the continuing education requirement for license\n\nrenewal in that state or states. If the nonresident licensee is\n\nexempt from the continuing education requirements in all states\n\nwhere the nonresident holds a license, the nonresident licensee\n\nshall successfully complete this state’s continuing education\n\nrequirement for license renewal or reactivation; or\n\n4. To a corporation, association, partnership, or branch\n\noffice.\n\nF. The Commission shall require each licensee to receive a\n\nspecified number of hours of continuing education courses on deed\n\ntheft, as defined in Section 858-351 of this title.
