The license term for a home inspector shall be one (1) year.\n\nThe license shall expire twelve (12) months from the date of\n\nissuance. The license fee and each renewal or reactivation\n\nthereafter shall be payable in advance, which shall not be\n\nrefundable.\n\nB. As a condition of license renewal or reactivation, each home\n\ninspector shall submit to the Construction Industries Board evidence\n\nof having attended eight (8) clock hours of continuing education\n\nwithin the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the term for\n\nwhich the license is to be issued. Except as otherwise provided for\n\nin this section, the Board shall not issue a renewal license or\n\nreactivate a license unless the continuing education requirement set\n\nforth in this section is satisfied within the prescribed time\n\nperiod.\n\nC. Any licensee who fails to renew before the license\n\nexpiration date shall be required to submit to such additional\n\nrequirements or penalties, or both, as the Board may require\n\npursuant to rule.\n\nD. The Construction Industries Board may place the license of a\n\nhome inspector on inactive status when the licensee gives sufficient\n\nreason; however, such status shall not relieve the licensee from\n\npaying the required fees. Continuing education shall not be\n\nrequired during the period a license is on inactive status. Prior\n\nto the license being placed on an active status, the licensee shall\n\nbe required to complete the eight-hour continuing education\n\nrequirement.
